Street Trees / Public Trees

The City of West Hollywood's Facilities and Field Services Division maintains all public trees which include those trees growing in the public right-of-way such as parkways, sidewalks and street medians as well as trees growing in City's parks.

In total the City has approximately 12,500 public trees. The City trims public trees (street trees) located in residential neighborhoods once every four years and street trees located on commercial streets are trimmed annually or once every two years. In addition, those street trees requiring additional trimming are pruned under a service request system. All public trees are trimmed to International Society of Arboriculture Standards (ISA) by a private contractor.
